Well first, Happy New Year everyone!
I've had a nice relaxing Christmas and am actually ready to go back to work. I spent the Christmas in Fraserburgh with my family and spent the New Year in Guildford with my girlfriend. Awesome time.
So, over the last couple of weeks, I've been taking a series of pictures of winter. You can check the photos at website gallery here:

I've really worked on creating a series of images that reflect the feeling of winter and the colour of the season. This is the first time I've tried taking a range of pictures with a similar theme and although I've still got a lot to learn, I think that these hold together ok!
Well, have a look and tell me what you think.
I've been heading out and just wandering around Guildford with my camera over the last few weeks. I got a new lens, 18-200mm Nikon, and have been testing it out and just getting used to it. I've been out at the weekends and sometimes out on the way into work.
Up until now, I've not had a telephoto lens and have only really missed it a few times. But the new lens it great! I'm happy with the results and the easiness of use. Its taken a bit of getting used to but here are some of the results:

I was out yesterday and got a whole bunch of new photos that I'm quite happy with. I'll get them posted up in the near future.
